Even though the 2025 NFL draft is a bit off, if Shedeur Sanders keeps up his solid play with Colorado, he could really boost his chances of going early in the first round.
A pro scout really liked Shedeur Sanders’ throwing power before the 2024 season. They even mentioned to NFL insider Jordan Schultz that Sanders and Travis Hunter might both get picked in the top five in 2025.
“Shedeur’s something else,” the personnel director said. “People overlook how smooth his throws are and how strong his arm is.”
In his first year at Colorado, Sanders had an amazing season. He broke the school record with 3,230 passing yards and threw 27 touchdowns with only four interceptions, completing nearly 70% of his passes.
Sanders’ performance stood out, especially since Colorado’s offensive line struggled. He got sacked a whopping 52 times in only 11 games.
Bleacher Report’s early 2025 mock draft has Sanders going 14th overall. They’re already eyeing him for the big leagues.
If Sanders keeps getting better in 2024 and leads Colorado to a better record than last time, he might climb even higher in the 2025 draft.
