Deion Sanders and Dez Bryant joined the final lineup for this year’s MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game.
The league announced that the famous cornerback and three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver will join the event on July 13 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Sanders joined the Cowboys for five years starting in 1995, after winning a Super Bowl and earning Defensive Player of the Year honors with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Hall of Famer made 63 appearances, snagging 14 interceptions and scoring two pick-sixes. He also returned punts for four touchdowns and was named All-Pro for three consecutive years starting in 1996.
Bryant successfully upheld the legacy of the No. 88 jersey, once worn by Cowboys legends Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin. His stats speak volumes: third in catches (531), fifth in yards (7,459), and first in touchdowns (73) in team history.
Sanders and Bryant are set to get a warm welcome from Cowboys fans for their past contributions. Fans are eager to see how Sanders performs now.
He hit .263 with 39 home runs over nine years in MLB, quite a feat since it wasn’t his top sport.
Sanders and Bryant, along with Terrell Owens, are set to play for the Cowboys.
Adrian Beltrรฉ and Michael Young, former Texas Rangers stars, will manage the teams.
