Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. has chosen his future team. The promising wide receiver, part of the 2025 class, announced he’ll play for Deion Sanders and Colorado, according to a report by Hayes Fawcett from On3 Sports on Saturday.

Farrakhan, highly rated by 247Sports Composite, picked Colorado over top teams like Alabama, Nebraska, and Texas A&M.
Sanders later reacted to the news in a post on X:

As per 247Sports, he’s ranked 312th nationally, 44th among wide receivers, and 48th in Texas. His commitment boosts Colorado’s promising 2025 recruitment lineup.
The Buffaloes recently welcomed Farrakhan and offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden, both highly rated recruits. They’ve also secured four other promising recruits and are looking to add more talent as the season progresses.
Colorado’s class of 2024 is strong, ranked No. 22 by 247Sports. It features top talent like 5-star lineman Jordan Seaton and other impressive prospects.
Colorado aims to improve under Sanders’ leadership with a promising new squad. They kicked off strong in 2023 with a 3-0 start but ended with a 4-8 season.
Sanders and Colorado start his second year in late August against a tough FCS team, North Dakota State.
