Travis Hunter stands out in college football this season, making a big impact for Colorado as both a wide receiver and cornerback.
Like his coach, Deion Sanders, he’s set to excel on both sides of the ball in the NFL. Unlike Sanders, who mainly played cornerback with occasional offensive and special teams moments, Hunter might shine even brighter as a wide receiver in the pros.
NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah agrees.
He said Hunter’s agility and how he catches the ball and runs with it reminded him of Garrett Wilson’s skills when he was leaving Ohio State.
Wilson, who won the 2022 Rookie of the Year award, has had two straight seasons with over 1,000 yards. He’s really talented.
Jeremiah mentioned he likes Hunter on offense and believes he has all the skills to become a top wide receiver. He’s most effective on the field when he’s got the ball.
He’s on track to be a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Whoever picks him will get a versatile player who can make a big impact on both offense and defense.
