Colorado head coach Deion Sanders’ new role: father-in-law.

Sanders’ daughter, Deiondra, and R&B singer Jacquees recently got engaged this past weekend, according to TMZ Sports.

Jacquees asked Deiondra to marry him at a party with loved ones, reading a heartfelt letter over a microphone and giving her a diamond ring.

The couple began their relationship in 2023. Deiondra shared her pregnancy news on Instagram on March 8 (h/t TMZ Sports).

The Buffaloes’ head coach had a busy weekend, joining the 2024 MLB All-Star Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday night.

He’s also focused on boosting Colorado after a 4-8 season in 2023. The Buffaloes expect progress in 2024, especially with quarterback Shedeur Sanders and all-around talent Travis Hunter returning.

Both players are likely to be picked in the 2025 NFL draft. The quarterback set a school record with 3,230 passing yards in his debut season. Hunter excelled as a cornerback and caught 57 passes for 721 yards as a receiver.
