Deion Sanders added former NFL star Warren Sapp to his coaching staff as a graduate assistant this season.
And the NFL Hall of Famer and seven-time Pro Bowler is truly enjoying it all.
“I never thought I’d get into this, but now I’m hooked,” he shared with reporters. “The babies are giving me a real sense of purpose, and I’m loving it.”
He mentioned that a trip to Colorado last season strengthened his wish to coach after Buffaloes players asked for his advice.
His drive to improve has only grown since he started coaching.

“Iโve had professionals ask for my number, saying theyโd be in Miami, but they never follow through. These young athletes, on the other hand, call me at 5:30 AM, asking if I want to watch game footage with them. Itโs wild! Iโm like, ‘Sure, thatโll get me off the couch!’ So, watching this all unfold is really exciting for meโIโm genuinely enjoying it.”
