Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig left the Buffaloes’ season opener against North Dakota State early. Although Colorado won 31-26, his early exit raises concerns about his future availability.
Deion Sanders mentioned Silmon-Craig during his postgame press conference, but the update didn’t address the senior safety’s future status.
“No, I’m not aware of her condition at all,” Sanders said. “I hope to get an update soon.”
Silmon-Craig is a key player on the field, known for his leadership and defensive skills. Sanders noted the impact of his absence, stating, “He’s a leader, he’s a dawg. Losing him early really hurt us.” His missing presence in the opener highlighted just how crucial he is to the Buffaloes’ defense.
Last season, Silmon-Craig played in every game for Colorado, starting ten of them. He stood out with 44 tackles and led the team with three interceptions, proving to be a dependable and versatile defender.
With Colorado gearing up for their game against Nebraska, Silmon-Craig will have a few extra days to rest and recover. No official update has been given yet about his status for the upcoming game in Lincoln. The Buffaloes are eager to hear good news, as having Silmon-Craig back would be a big boost to their defense for this important early-season challenge.
