ESPN’s matchup predictor suggests the Colorado Buffaloes might lose to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2.
ESPN analytics suggest the Buffs have a 39.7% chance of winning against the Huskers in Lincoln this Saturday. Colorado defeated Nebraska 36-14 at home last season, despite both teams having major roster changes.
In mid-August, ESPN gave the Buffs a 48.1% chance in the Week 2 rivalry game.
While UTEP might be a less challenging opponent compared to North Dakota State, Nebraska had a more gratifying Week 1 win. Freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola shone in his debut, Isaiah Neyor grabbed over 120 receiving yards, and the defense snagged two interceptions in the 40-7 triumph.
Colorado’s offense, guided by quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receivers Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr., shone in their 31-26 victory. However, Coach Deion Sanders acknowledged there’s still room for improvement.
Colorado and Nebraska start at 5:30 p.m. MT on Saturday (NBC).
