What a change in just one week.
Colorado’s offensive line faced criticism after their loss to Nebraska, but Coach Deion Sanders praised them with game balls following the 28-9 victory over Colorado State.
Travis Hunter, a standout player, received a game ball around the 39:40 mark.
Hunter showcased his exceptional skills again, making 13 catches for 100 yards and two touchdowns as a wide receiver, while also contributing five tackles and an interception on defense. His versatility and game-changing plays continue to draw attention from NFL teams.
Defensive back Preston Hodge grabbed an interception, earning him a game ball. Sanders praised the offensive line during the celebration, a shift from the Nebraska loss.
“The head coach addressed last weekโs loss, mentioning protection issues. He acknowledged the problem but avoided placing blame on the players. ‘I could say what you’re thinking, but I wonโt throw my guys under the bus,’ he said. ‘We just need to find a better way to fix it and improve our protections moving forward.’”
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders discussed the pressure difference between himself and Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola after their loss to the Cornhuskers.
Sanders was sacked five times by Nebraska but had much better protection against Colorado State. With improved blocking, he confidently passed for 310 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions, completing 36 of 49 attempts.
The Buffaloes delivered a much-needed bounce-back win against Colorado State. With the Big 12 season approaching, theyโre aiming for a much better performance than their previous 1-8 record in the Pac-12.
