Deion Sanders, the Colorado head coach, embraced a balance of effort and fun for his team’s spring game this year.
On Saturday, the Buffs had their usual scrimmage game, followed by a concert featuring Lil Wayne. Sanders and his son Shedeur were there to enjoy the music with everyone.
Colorado hasn’t picked its 2024 squad yet, but fans got a first look at the new lineup during the spring game.
“I think we’ve cleared out all the bad vibes,” Shedeur shared post-game, as reported by Christopher Kamrani of The Athletic. “Now it’s all about positivity. No more gripes. We just gotta play with a clear head and focus.”
Lil Wayne wasn’t alone in Boulder. Boxer Ryan Garcia, fresh from his win over Devin Haney, also showed up, sporting a Buffs jersey. Looks like Coach Prime might’ve picked up some tips from the 25-year-old on owning the underdog role.
