Colorado head coach Deion Sanders was busy on social media Wednesday morning, engaging with critics. However, one of them came back with a sharp response for Coach Prime.
Sanders criticized Jaheim Ward’s stats in a tweet, but Ward hit back, pointing out he outperformed Sanders’ son, Shilo, in a crucial stat.
Damm itโs crazy I got more pass deflections then your son ๐คก๐คก https://t.co/xgWgFUV6Rc pic.twitter.com/IRwm6mzieK

Coach Prime didn’t hold back when a fan criticized his son, Shedeur Sanders, for a tough season. He fired back, boasting Shedeur’s NFL potential and challenging the fan about their own son’s prospects.
He will be a top 5 pick. Where yo son going ? Lololol I got time today. Lololol https://t.co/tGS6dfm7iy

Sanders’ recent social media buzz stems from a story by Max Olson from The Athletic. It delves into the departure of 53 scholarship players from Colorado after Sanders took the helm in 2022. Xavier Smith, who transferred to Austin Peay, revealed Sanders’ impact, suggesting he undermined players’ confidence and pushed them into the transfer portal.
Adding to the trouble, Shedeur Sanders dismissed Smith as “very mid”.
Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best. https://t.co/qwK48Ys0Et

In Sanders’ debut year as Colorado’s head coach, the team finished with a 4-8 record. Now, there’s more shake-up as Chris Hummer from CBS Sports highlighted that since April 16, 24 players have entered the transfer portal. On the flip side, Colorado is gearing up to welcome 34 new players through the portal, securing the sixth-ranked transfer class nationally according to 247Sports.
Sanders is famous for his antics, but maybe it’s time for him to dial it back as Colorado gears up for the 2024 season.
