It’s already time to start looking at who Colorado football is bringing in for 2026. Coach Sanders grabbed three new players for 2025, and there’s a good chance we’ll see the first 2026 recruit before next season kicks off.
Friday brought some exciting news as Colorado offered Chace Calicut, a standout cornerback in the class of 2026. Rivals rates him as the 10th best CB and 12th overall prospect in Texas.
Calicut, a sophomore at North Shore High in Houston, stands at 6-foot-3, weighing 190 pounds. He’s got offers from Jackson State, Washington State, Cal, UTEP, TCU, and Purdue.
In early March, Rivals national recruiting analyst Marshall Levenson wrote the following on Calicut:
Calicut, who is set to play opposite five-star Ohio State commit Devin Sanchez this fall, is being tabbed as the next hot item out of the Eastside. His size, length, athleticism and ball skills will draw eyes during camp season and as coaches make their way to North Shore during spring ball.
