Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter Wow Fans In Colorado’s Win vs. NDSU

The second year of Deion Sanders at Colorado kicked off well.

The Buffaloes kicked off the season with a 31-26 win over a tough North Dakota State team on Thursday. It wasn’t an easy start, as the Bison led 20-14 at halftime. Colorado rallied with two touchdowns to pull ahead 31-20 late in the fourth quarter, but North Dakota State scored again, cutting the lead to six with two minutes remaining.

The Bison made a great effort in the final moments but fell just short on a last-second Hail Mary attempt.

In their recent win, Colorado stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter showed off their skills. Sanders threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns, while Hunter added 132 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Senior receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. had a stellar performance, racking up 198 receiving yards and a touchdown. Sanders threw an interception, but it was unlucky as his pass deflected off a Bison defender’s leg and landed in Nick Kubitz’s hands. With the Buffs winning their opener, fans are excited about the growing connection between Sanders and Hunter.

Thursday’s game against North Dakota State was a solid first test for Colorado’s new lineup, but they won’t have an easy week ahead with Nebraska on the horizon. Last year, Colorado started strong at 3-0 but ended up 4-8. While the team looked promising on Thursday, the real challenge will be maintaining that momentum and avoiding a repeat of last season’s struggles.
