Ex-Colorado Player Dayon Hayes Joins SEC Team

On Friday, the Texas A&M Aggies gained a new addition through the transfer portal—Dayon Hayes, a defensive end who played for Colorado Buffaloes in 2024 before an injury ended his season early.

On3 was the first to report the news.

Hayes played for the Pittsburgh Panthers from 2020 to 2023, achieving 13 sacks and 80 tackles while showcasing his talent as a 6-foot-3 defender.

After joining CU as a promising transfer last winter, Hayes quickly made an impact with two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss in three games. Unfortunately, an injury ended his season early, likely granting him a medical redshirt.

Hayes chose to spend his final SEC year at Texas A&M. The Aggies, with eight regular-season wins, face the USC Trojans in the Las Vegas Bowl on Friday.
